Hi Crion,
Thanks for the update. Now I know WHY local dealer is giving me such a sweet pricing as he may be "dumping" (I hope not), the older versions to me, although the speakers are thew latest SE version. 808v5 & 861v8. I can wait till all developments been realised before asking for the new quote and see how far off that would have become.
Nice to know. Once again, thanks.

Hi Jerry, wait atleast for the 808.6 to be on proper pricelist. The 861v9(?) cards can take some time, but factor atleast a 3k$ upgrade for it into the final price, the dealer might get better indication how many cards the 861v9(?) will need.

The current April/May issue of Absolute Sound has 13 full pages on MQA. A very good explanation by Robert Harley, additional comments and blurbs by others and a interview with Bob Stuart.

According to Harley (and others) MQA could be a game changer. Explains how inefficient current codecs can be. How to capture and package all of the useful information which was recorded so that it will sound better even if you play it back on a non-MQA compatible device.

Even though it seems like a long article Harley mentions that it only touches upon what went in to understanding and developing this product.

Jim, thank you.
Wow, seems like a very interesting evolution.
