The Kimbers are quite flexible given their size but so are the Wireworld cables. I actually started a thread asking people to post pics of their Wireworld cables to get a sense of how flexible they are. The thread is here:

WW cables are extremely flexible; There is no comparison with the Pangea cables as far as flexibility. The WW are somewhat stiff but can be bent into shapes the Pangea never could.
And as virtually everywhere else, power cables have had a determining factor in the sound of my power conditioners. For me, I equate the use of power cables in my system with an almost component level of change in sound.

Uh oh. I've just realized. With all my talk about the Stratus cords on my two Furmans, I failed to make clear the 1m on the Elite is a Series 7, so they're NOT the same cord. Even though the same line, the Stratus 7 is a cut above according to an exchange with Wireworld, at least equivalent to (if not better than) an Aurora 5.2.

And, WW's IECM1F adapter would in fact allow me to chain two cords, which would eliminate the Venom extension (option 4). I have some figuring to do. Further, WW suggested that Series 7s should go on the most-used sources. Three of my five sources have Stratus 5.2, one has Stratus 7 (the VPI TT has a captive cord). I'm starting to think I want to overhaul this whole power cord setup . . .

As it stands, all of my cables are Series 7. I can certainly hear a nice improvement with all of the new Aurora 7 PCs I installed. I see them as being just as important as ICs.

Not too long back home from church. I thought about this, and in the larger scheme of things futzing with power cords isn't that important so I should give this the attention it deserves . . . I can simply swap the cords on the Furman Elite-15PFi and my BDP, then two sources will have a Series 7 cord and the two Furmans will have matching cords. I can deal with other options later.

Well, I just renewed my subscription, which was to expire in a month. Not all due to altruism; I may be going after some power cords in the near future.

I've begun planning my power cord upgrades. Right now, it looks to be the following: one 3m WW Aurora 7 (Furman SPR); two 1m Aurora 7s (Furman Elite, C2300); two 1.5m Stratus 7s (tuner, LD player). Not sure what improvements these modest upgrades would provide, if any, but at least the cords would be consistent.

Along with the above scenario, the Stratus 7 on the Furman Elite now will move to my main BD player (Pioneer 09FD); the Stratus 5.2 there will move to the back-up BD player probably (Oppo 83), so the PS Audio Jewel on the back-up now would get switched out of the system.

Eventually I may change the Electra 5.2 cords on my 501s, but since I just ordered a new video processor and the holidays are coming I have to draw some financial lines. Maybe I'd get a 20A IEC for the 3m Aurora, eliminating the adapter I use now to connect to the Furman SPR; that's a $180 upcharge though, which would pay for another power cord.
