Just cancel the order. If they treated you like that now, what do you expect in the future. These people are not worth your time.

Yes, it was. Location in Berkeley and SF. Not the same sales guy I think but he has also been really slow to respond. He wasn't the one that called to cancel - canceling both delivery and next day tuning

Funny, the tuner called me the next day to confirm as he was about to head over. Despite working there, and despite the same place canceling both, they hadn't informed him that they had cancelled us out. He, Josh, seemed like a great guy though so I am very sympathetic to him.

I've talked to both owners in the past. I like them both, however they need to hire better salesman. None of them are very good IMO, especially not smokey.

Thanks. He has already been way too helpful. In my book, I have already abused his hospitality. While someone has a Screaming Eagle for him, I might dig out a nice Bordeaux to partially compensate him for his kind guidance - and patience with me as I lean too heavily on experts for guidance. I always like to repay my debts.

I have to say that my other suspicious thought was that perhaps they had damaged the speaker getting it ready for shipment - and were repairing it. So it was relieving somewhat to hear only that they just wanted to screw me over in favor of someone else. Neither scenario is flattering but given I wouldn't have done what they did the damage scenario seemed more plausible.

Well, after calling them this morning no return call as requested either from one of the owners or to tell me about any new delivery schedule.

I really can't recommend that audio store.

Freestone.....sorry to hear about the horrible customer service you've been subjected to. I can only imagine how much coin you've spent there, no way you should have to put up with their BS. Is there another dealer somewhere in your area? You and your hard earned money deserve better treatment than that! With this sluggish economy I'd have thought they'd all be smart enough and anxious to earn and keep your business
