MX150 -- Room Perfect will not set up -- HELP!
The HD audio is fantastic being bitstreamed and decoded inside the MX150 but when it came to setting up Room Perfect, the issues began. First, it could not find the microphone (so I switched out the microphone and tried a Velondye mic from my SMS-1 and it found it OK) but of course it is not calibrated for Room Perfect, so I removed it. After a dozen tries and a reboot or two, it found the microphone but then could not finish the calibration since it reported too much room noise or not enough gain (think that it was gain -- it has been several hours since I got that far and forgot the exact term in the error message). I have turned down the two subs, made sure that no speakers were listed in the speaker setup that were not actually used. It just cannot find the microphone and yes, I have made sure that it was securely plugged in.
The dealer is involved and I am sure Chuck Hinton will eventually be involved, but am wondering if anyone else has had Room Perfect Setup issues and how they solved them -- I am itching to get RP set up like anyone with a new toy and would really like to find the solution before the dealer and Chuck is involved. Thoughts/opinions?? Mikep

On the 220 there could have been a bit of confusion for some of us during initial set-up when we were told to increase volume. The volume had to be increased on the MEN not the pre-amp. Since the 150 is all in one that cannot be one of your issues. Jim

I needed some coaching on setting up the bi-amping feature through my MX150, but following the manual and on-screen prompts, Room Perfect went smooth as silk (and that is coming from someone who has trouble setting up a toaster).

As silly as this seems, make sure you have the mic connected to the proper jack on the MX150. It is easy to connect it to the wrong jack.
