Dennis Had Inspire Amps

The Chinese cv181 Dennis is referring to maybe the older blue glass w/white base. He sent one with my LP-27a.

Now shoe horning it into a rectifier socket, that sounds like something I would try.

Seriously, I have three CV-181's which I may try ...we'll see.

Just be wary about buying any vintage CV-181, like an old Mullard. Those are real CV-181 and run at quite different specs than these new Psvane and Shuguang CV-181, which have the same specs as a 6SN7.

I think I have all the input tubes I need for my gear, so I won't, and I'm aware of those differences. Thanks for the warning.

I think Dennis is currently using the Psvane CV-181 in some of his gear....

If you have other tubes that will work try them because you never know. The difference is subtle but real.

That is my current favorite input tube, so I may try that. For some reason though, I feel as I may be disrupting a perfect job with the current preamp complement set ... but, if there's nothing to loose ...
