Yup, I'm a fan of them and own at least 6-7 so they must work.

I bought the 888 a year ago after comparing it with a simular device from Kemp.

The Kemp gave a sort of agressive ring to the music. The RE-888 was much more natural.

The 888 seems to give some sort of sparcle to the music with longer decays.

But in all fairness, I could not detect a difference in a blind test I performed later with a friend.
And that makes you wonder.

We probably use more than our ears when we listen to our musicsystems.
Just as we can not taste as good when we pinch our nose.
We listen with our brains, that's for sure. And how our brains work, we hardly know.

So does it really works?
It works for me on a subtle level, as long as i know when i pull the switch.

Would I recommend it?
Not without doing a listening test first in your home.
If you can't audition it, you would probably be wiser if your spend your money on a dedicated powerline or something like that, or just some new music.

Have a great vacation.

Sander.

Thank you very much sander, is impossible to me to listen in my home. This device is very difficult to find "original", a lot of fake copies in ebay, amazon and i have this only chance to get one from a official distributor so i will buy one and try.Is not so much money.
