Many Boulder amps need 30A breakers. Just switch out breakers if awg is appropriate. Some upper elite models require 220/240v -- not many reviewers with those outlets in their homes & when they do a review, they in some cases go to Boulder (demo room).

The $100,000 cost of the amps is going to be a problem long before the wiring in my house. [emoji857]

I actually just spoke to my dealer. He was telling me that it's extremely rare for Boulder to actually sell their monoblocks (2150's or 3050's). He said it's simply unnecessary, in most cases. Told me that Boulder almost always sells stereo amps, because they give you 80-90 percent of the performance, and they are more amp than you will ever need. Really, with monoblocks you are paying for a separate chassis and power supply. Also, he told me (like others have said on this forum), it makes more sense to get stereo 3060 (115k) vs mono 2150's (98k).

The stereos are just that good!

Last Boulder amplified system I heard included 3050's and a 3010. Don't know if it was "more than you(the owner) would ever need", but it certainly seemed like a great match to the speakers.

Dang Bill -- mono blocks & a 4 chassis pre -- that's $365K retail. What were they pushing?

Best Sir,

Bob

If you are worried whether or not the top of the line Boulder is sufficient for the WAMM, rest easy. It's a beautiful match.
