Default Todays smile

As we "Silver Surfers" (older folks on the Internet) know, sometimes we have trouble with our computers.

I had a problem yesterday, so I called Eric, the eleven year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control and asked him to come over.

Eric clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong?

He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired,

'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'

Eric grinned.... 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?

'No,' I replied.

'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'

So I wrote down:

ID10T

I used to like Eric, that little shit.

As I get older, my pencil is not as sharp. It's amazing what these kids pick up today.

Funny story....

Silver Surfers . . . . Humph . . . . Noisy bunch of kids. . . . Young whippersnappers, . . . I remember those days well, . . . . . thought I knew it all . . .

Now that I'm a Platinum Surfer . .
I know that I know it all . . but, of course, I've forgotten most of it. .. . Now where is that power switch on this McIntosh again?

Will someone please tell me what these flat round black things with the hole in the middle are?. . . Too light for a frisbee . . . Threw a few and they didn't fly too hot, broke when they hit the concrete. Think I'll get the trash man to haul them away.

I don't claim to be the world's oldest audiophile for nothing. . . . .
