Today I cleaned all the connectors in my system with Oyaide cleaning stick and Acoustic Revive spray.

It took me 2 hours to clean everything. But when I saw the stick I know this cleaning is needed.
Especially AC related connectors, these seems to be more dirty or oxidized than signal connectors.
Any gold plated also made the sticks dirtier than rhodium plated did.

I would suggest you to do this, keep in mind you have to cut off electric power and let your power conditioner
Calm or discharged for a while before cleaning power conditioner inlet or outlets.

The dirty stick and cutton buds in picture are for show only, I used many more of them.

According to factory, AR spray will become effective after 24 hours. Before that it could make system sound bright.
But I do not find that brightness at this time, in the first hour, may be I need to clean my ears too

Oh no.. I mean oh YES ! The effect after cleaning and treating is huge..

Tonal is the same, but power, energy and dynamic are much improved.
The system is now playing in Corsa mode.

Of all, the well protected contacts of binding posts on the back Moon amps are most difficult to access.
Multi pins of ARC pre amp umbilical cords also takes time.
I didnt have enough will to do with all tube sockets in ARC pre amps, I was not sure about the heat
Resistance of the oil based spray as well. Hmm may be fuse sockets will need to be sprayed too.
What else I could have missed?

I would rate this task higher than the "HONEY DO" list. Wonder if our spouses would agree.

My wife would call it my last list.

Last meaning, get the heck out of my house.

About time doing mine!

But I see it a bit of a hassle getting them, don't think local dealers have these. Can it be bought on-line?

I see it being offered at Ebay but the least expensive price listed was $233. Yikes.

Thanks for your write up Toga. I've also heard the new Acoustic Revive spray is very good. Thanks for the tip also on the Oyaide cleaning sticks. I agree it is a good idea to perform this periodical maintenance. Just a couple of questions, how often do you/Acoustic Revive recommend to clean the contacts? Also, did the long cotton buds come with the AR spray?

Cheers,
