Almost any speaker you buy will benefit from a sub. . I have spoken to Ivan about this and even in his system he employs JL subs. Lots of people here have used subs with the GM with success. The GM are a very special speaker, enjoy.
By the way using a test tone, my Elipsa's produce sound at 25 hz no problem ie no sub. . At first I had the crossover of the JLf112 set at 35 hz but after speaking to Ivan I have the crossover set much higher now at 85 hz and just turned the volume lower on the sub. Sonus.......I love the sound of my Sonus Faber Guarneri Momento speakers. They are wonderful. I use two McIntosh XLS112 subwoofers with them and the overall sonic presentation is spectacular. Enjoy your beauties. They are in a class by themselves.

first time poster
long time listener how would one describe the sound difference between the guarneri mementos vs. the cremona M? could one argue the guarneris would sound better with the same source material? If one was to start a home theater, and wanted to spend 90% of the budget on a set of front speakers... |
