He took a break for a few years but is back into it and loves his vinyl, not that I would ever ask to borrow his turntable. I don't like to put people in that position.

Default I have an original Classic 3 in Rosewood

Love the table which I have had for 4 years and have the SS arm.

No problems at all with the table. Using an Eagle Power Supply.

A few members of my audio club have VPI tables. I've always felt they were well made and had a very good sound to them. I seriously doubt you would be anything other than completely happy with them

If you're thinking TT's you also need to start thinking about cartridges as well.

I’ve owned the VPI scoutmaster with JMW-9 Signature tone arm for about the last 10 years. Very happy with it.

I currently own a Prime Signature--couldn't be happier with it. Previously I owned a Scout 1.1, also a fine TT. VPI also has superb customer service.

I have a Thorens TD124 mkII, which I love, but when it started having speed issues a couple of years ago, I purchased a preowned VPI Aries 1 with SDS.

I would still like to get the Thorens repaired, but since setting up the VPI, it hasn't been a top priority. If I had to choose just one, it would be the VPI. I have no urge, whatsoever, to upgrade turntables, and consider the Aries a lifer.

VPI owner here.

Started off in 2013 with a Scout 1.1 with Ortofon Quintet Black cart.

Then sold to my brother...and bought my current VPI Classic Signature. Ortofon Cadenza Blue.

I hate the 'night & day' adjectives we use BUT the Classic Sig is quite a large upgrade over the Scout.

Now I am in yet ANOTHER upgraditus mode. So I am eyeing the Avenger. Honestly mostly due to how it looks! I am SHALLOW BUT holy moly it looks SMOKIN.

And yea the wobble arm is a bit of a pain but honestly just a few seconds it stops, then I lower the arm. Sounds wonderful to me.

I saw the Clearaudio Innovation at Axpona. Its stunning as well.
