VPI Prime Signature - feet adjustable?
I finally got some time to try to finish up the setup on my turntable.
I was under the impression that the feet are adjustable, they don't seem to be. The stand is level but the table is not. Am I missing something here? |

From page 2 of the manual:
“Verify the turntable is level by using a 9 or 12-inch bubble level front-to-back and side-to-side on the platter. If it is not level, rotate the cone feet up or down. If you must turn the Prime feet more than three full turns, level the shelf or platform the table sits on first.”

Perhaps something in the design has changed, I just pulled that from the manual on the VPI website.

I just had this exact same issue when I bought my Prime signature a few months ago. They stick a bit and you feel the rubber flexing you have to keep turning it until the bolt actually breaks loose. I verified this with my dealer and then directly with VPI because I felt like I was over torquing it and I didn't want to put too much pressure. Once I got the blessing from them that is how it works I applied a little more pressure and they came free and I was able to adjust them and level it.

After a long talk with my dealer and VPI I have figured out the issue. The only way I can explain it is you have to overcome the resistance of the rubber feet which is significant, once you do it will "break" free and than they work appropriately. |

Exactly, you feel like you could have potentially damaged them.

YES! We must have posted at the same time as yours was not there when I was posting. Glad Im not the only one.
The support from my dealer and VPI has been subpar.. when I called they had no idea what I was talking about. Very disappointing. I feel like when you spend this kind of money a certain level of service should come with it. Everyone has been treating me like I bought a turntable suitcase from Bestbuy. Very thankful for this board. |
