Jim,

When i was burning my collection i had four computers going simultaneously ripping cds whilst looking up artwirk and editing metadata!

Good idea. I only have two with CD drives and I think one of those is on it last legs. I am have loaded over 300 discs so far. I have the Meridian set to perform several passes to make sure it is getting all the data so it is taking some time for each disc.

I am taking the time to decide which discs I will load. The ones I am passing on loading are going into two categories, either keep for the occasional play or get rid of the disc. I do that about twice a year to eliminate clutter so this fits my timing pretty good. Currently on the letter O.

I had very little luck moving music from the MS-300 to the Meridian.

Hi Jim;

Have you tested how it sounds on a few songs?

I haven't spent any time listening to it yet. I just checked to make sure all the connections are working. Now when I choose the input for the MS-300 the display on the 808v3 reads out "MS300", the second analog input now reads out "Phono", the SooLoos reads out "SLS" and the SonoS reads out "Sonos".

Aren't you up a bit early?

Excellent work Jim! After you got a few favourite albums into the MC200 it will get more fun to listen to.

Please try the Swim button in the Meridian Core Control iPad app then select "all albums". It's pretty awesome and you really get a feel for it the first time you have say 20 records in the system. It will be the best radiochannel you never heard before.

When you get more albums with many different genres/experimental etc then a little focus before swim can really put a good mood or genre to relax/listen actively to.

I found the ID40 Sooloos card in my system matching the best sources I had on hand and have high hopes for the M upgrade (808.5/818v2/861v8) coming out in the wild soon.

Jim,

Have you spent any time listening to the new MC-200? I look forward to hearing more about it.
