Dan, in a way, YES, but that is if you have the FLAC files to import into the Core Media. If not, the C15 is still a nice Sooloos importer of music from the CD itself PLUS it had a 500GB drive. Wireless too .. as all it takes is a WiFI insert into the USB.

With that, I am seriously thinking of moving and clearing my granite top to make way for the DSP7.2kHC Centre Channel speaker (white of course), buying the 861v6 processor as well as getting the HD621 video processor. I might just "retire" my TT for a while. Thinking hard ...

Jerry.......Wow, big additions. You are on your way to a complete Meridian surround sound system.

In a way, Dan, this is the "Plan".

However, unlike you, space is a premium in my small dingy apartment and moving away the TT to the bedroom is a "no-no" to my wife. More likely, she will asked me to trade it off, which I am very reluctant to do so.

Also, such an addition would only save the Tri-Field mode and not the full surround mode, again, a restriction due to space.

The next best thing is I start looking a for a new place (and its about time). That will mean I have more space for a pair of DSP8k SL (or the smaller DSP7.2k) and a ".1" Meridian sub to complete.

Till then, every thing is "plans" and "dreams". Sigh, how I wish I had a big house like you - plus the FREEDOM!

Collecting watches is that much easier. All one need is an extra watch box winder!

Cheers!

I have just one question, will the 861v6 be white?

Nope. my 808.3, 800v4 are all black. So, naturally, IF I do get the 861v6, it will still be black.

Speakers have to be white to match the DSP8000SL. Kinda freakish isn't it?

Anyway, still in the plans. Tomorrow will try to contact carpenter to see if he can help re-model my cabinet for precious SPACE. I am taking a big jump should I go into Tri-Field .... based on Howie's feedback that its way much better than plain ole' stereo! Kinda expensive way to find out!

I love my trifield as well but enjoy your system. No need to rush to multichannel..

Things get more complex with 861v6, HD621 and multiple speakers. And if Trifield didn't sound so damn good when well set-up. An 818 and two DSP8000SL could very well be the only thing I ever needed.

Hi "Crion"

From what I gather from the Meridian forum friends, the current space I have would not be so conducive for Tri-Field optimum performance. As such, I would shelf this plan till I get to a bigger house. For now, I certainly have NO complaints whatsoever with regards to my Meridian STEREO setup. In fact, I never have been happier!

Cheers!
