There were several issues that prevented me from considering a SooLoos unit. 1) limited to 24/96 (Fixed) 2) the Touchscreen needed to be wired to the Core which I would want with my other gear ion a rack (fixed with the new ap) 3) cannot burn CD's to use for demo'ing gear (no a huge issue)

So it looks like it may now be an option if the new ap does most of what the touchscreen is capable of.

Hey Jim,
Although #3 isn't fixed, the system does allow for exporting in the original format (or transcoded to mp3). From there, your favorite burning software would take over.

The new iPad App should be a 'game changer'. All the existing users are on pins and needles waiting for it's release. I welcome the ability to move the Control15 out of my listening area!

I prefer my demo disc's to be bit for bit or FLAC as a worst case.

Question, how do you move hi-rez files from HD Tracks to a SooLoos. Is it easy like the Olive units.

It's very straight forward. The procedure for 'importing' is independent of file format. You just have to point the Control PC/Mac software to the folder containing the music. The Sooloos is capable of importing most formats with the possible exception of wma.

Sigh! I lost the bet. Howie, you are RIGHT .... Maybe even March. I am SO disappointed.

Meridian had to learn not to release information pertaining to their products and release WITHOUT first doing a full check on their capability to do so! No use blaming Apple or anyone cause any obstacles SHOULD have been worked into their release plans and timing! A ding in their reputation now ... although they DO make GREAT products I am proud to own and listen to!

Yup, thats why I spent my monies on another Lange 1 Platinum Daymatic rather than a 861v6, HD621, DSP7.2k, DSP 7.2k (rears)!

Next move for a new system - Kondo ONGAKU ..... if I had balls the size of peaches!
