I believe the engraved piece at the bottom of the meter is now copper in color rather than the aluminum in the 300's.

I recently upgraded my S200 to S250. Very happy with the upgrade.

I just got my amps upgraded to the M400 version. Still letting them warm up and break in a little, but they do sound great.
One question for those who got the upgrade: are your meters a lot less sensitive than before? I have to turn the volume to a much higher level than I had to with the M300s to get the needles to start moving even a little - and that is with the rear panel switch in the most sensitive setting. Me 2. The meters barely move.

It seems the M400s run hotter (feel that way to the touch) than the original M300 version. I think someone had reported that already and I agree.

Ditto. The first night I had them back after the upgrade, they sounded so good I slowly started turning up the volume just to see what they sounded like at rock concert levels. I was hitting 107dB, with the preamp turned up to about 90% of max volume, and I blew the tweeter resistors in my Alexias-- but those damn power meters barely moved!

Any rumours if the preamp will be upgraded too?
