Absolutely safe. I have the MC452 powering the Sopra 2's. They're magical together.

Same, I went from a 452 to a pair of 611’s, no issues.

Thanks for the responses. I should have my demo Sopra 2’s next week. I have heard the sopra 2’s are going up to $19,500 a pair. Is this because they made improvements, that seems like a huge jump in price. I have also noticed many more used pairs for sale after the price increase announcement. Just curious. I will report back with what I think about the speakers once I set them up.

Where did you hear / read that? Looks like Sopra No. 2 now sell at $14,999 and the No. 3 sells at $19,999.

You are correct. I think I saw yesterday a set of Sopra 2 for sale with the seller stating that the price is going up to $19,999.

I heard from 2 dealers, I guess we will see Monday. The price increase is supposed to start 3-2-2020

It's really hard to believe that Focal would attempt a 33% price hike, especially on a model that has been out this long.

I just checked Upscale Audio, the Sopra 2 is now $9500 each

Wonder if they are falling under the president's 25% tariff on many French goods that was recently put in place? Know there was a bit of back-&-forth, but think in the end it was put in place.

Here in Canada (Ontario), there is a dealer who ask 23990$ form the Sopra no.2 and 30990$ for the Sopra no.3. OMG.....
