What he said... thanks Buck for a great job organizing our little group, and all the excellent pictures and commentary.

It annoyed the crap out of me (it wasn't the record BTW).

They must have solved this at some point, because we thought this room sounded very good, with no popping noise. In fact we went back a second time, and thought it was one of the best mid-tier rooms.

Yeah, the Von Schweikert room was amazing but I guess you have to keep the price in context. Here's a photo of the price sheet for the room, notice some of the things are "each" and the cable (which there were a metric ton of) prices aren't listed.....I mean.......damn. A $61,000 stand.

Here's a couple more.....

Audio Solutions with Vitus. I didn't like this room very much, they were a decent value but the soundstage was incredibly "short".....the tweeters on these are very very low on the cabinet (more so than you could tell in the photo) and you could tell.

Avantgarde room was OK, they sounded pretty good but still had that horn cupped hand sound to my ears on Hotel California live.

YG Acoustics and Auralic. None of us thought this sounded very good, at all. Especially considering these are $42,500 speakers. If you were just off center, you couldn't even hear the other speaker, it was like it was disconnected. Very strange.

We'll see. On the YG's... There had to be something wrong with the system or at least the track we heard?
