Emotiva Amplifiers.

________________ * As an aside from what I read earlier in this thread by few members. If some of you think that the Emotiva amps are build cheap (like they mentioned); please get one, try to lift it, remove the top cover, and come back saying that again. Some people here know what I'm talking about; but I did read few posts in this thread that seem to ignore few facts about Emotiva amps on build quality, performance and real value (high ratio). I invite people who are not familiar with their amps and like to comment, to simply visit their website and look at the specs, including weight, and pictures of their internals. And also read professional reviews. Thank you for your time reading this, Bob Last edited by LordoftheRingsEE; 03-05-2012 at 01:48 PM. Reason: typo |

My observations on Emo amps were from listening sessions, not based on build quality. They're great for HT, but I would pass for music.

Did you listen to an XPA-2 in a 2-channel Stereo rig only? * And by the way I did not mention anyone in particular regarding their comment on build quality; but those posts are right there, back near the beginning of this thread and further (I read this entire tread carefully). I appreciate your reply. |

It was a XPA-2 in a 2 channel rig. It had a very 2d soundstage and was a little forward sounding compared to the other amps demoed that day.

I believe you if indeed the other amps were good ones.

I have had the same experience with my older Emotiva gear. I have not heard the newer versions.

[QUOTE=LordoftheRingsEE;278398]Did you listen to a pair of XPA-1s? For Music only of course.
Did you listen to an XPA-2 in a 2-channel Stereo rig only? They both play music beautifully. The draw back is the build quality. The rca jacks on the back, well if you look at them, they bend. But they stand behind their products. You get a big sound and a lot of watts for low $'s. Read the pro reviews and specs. Kal Rubinson has heard many amps, more than most, in optimal listening rooms for music with 3 same size speaker along the front. His chime in, would be more than welcome. |
