Without a shadow of doubt the Kiso Acoustics HB-1. It is about 1/4 the volume or less than the Guarneri Memento yet it can fill a large room with clear sound.

It is not deisgned for nearfield listening either and putting them about 12 feet apart really makes them sing.

You really owe it to yourself to hear this speaker.

These 3 speakers are the best I have ever heard:

1. Vintage - Rogers LS3/5a
2. Expensive - Magico Mini II
3. Affordable - Paradigm Reference Signature S1

The Paradigm I will buy and match together with their SEISMIC 110 Sub, well I will pit that against any speakers 5 times more, up to S$15k. Thats how good they are! I will borrow Howie's words ... "you really owe it to yourself to hear this speaker".

I had some Tannoy biampable monitors back in the 90's when I had my first studio. I liked them a lot, rather flat as monitors should be, and sounded great with 2 Haflers.

ATOHM GT1 are according to my ears, far above any other bookshelf speakers I ever heard or owned, no matter the price....

I've enjoy my Revel Ultima Salon2 a lot. They can change sound to many styles up to
upstream components/cables/wall plug/biwire jumpers.

Sometimes I am absolutely amazed at how darn good my Sonus Faber Guarneri Mementos sound. . . .

Another vote for SF Guarneri (although I have the Homage and not the Memento).

I should note, however, that

1) The speaker is bigger than it appears. While it shares a basic shape with the Auditors it's, I'd guess, 3-4x the volume.

2) With the gorgeous looking and must-have marble base+stand, the footprint and volume occupied by this speaker is on par with most floorstanders - especially when you take into account that it likes to be a few feet away from walls.

Julian.......Same here. I thoroughly enjoy my Guarneri Memento's, especially now that the Bryston 10B sub is in the mix. Quite astonishing with a pair of good subs included.
