I like the guy, no airs and graces. Tells things as they are, it must be really great too having so much vinyl and equipment choices on hand.

No kidding.....when he's not working on a review or something, how the heck do you decide what to pull off the shelf and listen to with that kind of collection? It would take me an hour to decide!

Not quite sure why a lot of people think he’s so great. I met the guy multiple times at audio shows and felt that he was full of himself. Guy thinks that he’s a celebrity and knows everything about vinyl including turntable engineering. He’s very opinionated in his reviews and discredits gear that doesn’t sound like his rig. The best part is that he truly believes that he single handedly saved vinyl.

I met him once and had a similar opinion just based on his personality alone.

Yeah, I've always gotten the impression he's a douche. I'm sure he's knowledgeable but there's a lot of delusion mixed in.

Thanks. That was quite entertaining. Do like the Michael is not PC (not in a good way). No longer feel bad about being in the basement (seeing Michael's hot-water heater & not that I ever have). Liked his Paul McCartney story about the 'Flaming Pie' record.

Did anyone else notice the McIntosh C22 he had on the top shelf of one of his cabinets?

That's the one thing I like about streaming apps. I choose shuffle often. I have one folder called Experimental for songs that I don't know well, songs that I added to that playlist after one listen when it was recommended on Spotify using their song radio feature and the similar bands feature.

I have close to 600 songs in there and while cleaning the house or working on something else I'll play on shuffle mode without looking at the band.

I like this method because it exposes me to so many other bands and kinds of music and once in a when something will catch my ear, I go to view the album the song called
E from, and many times now I've discovered an bum I've liked so much that I did purchase it.

Anyway ye shuffling through unknowns is something I would prefer over sitting there for half an hour choosing what to listen to.

Sorry for long post.
