Rob.......Have you tried a reset? A momentary contact between terminal I and terminal R should reset the meter.

I have it wired up with reset switch, and it did not help the way I originally wired, but it would clear the screen while it was depressed, now with it wired to proper ground the reset switch does nothing. I double checked your diagram, and it looks correct.

I have unsuccessfully got my meters to work. I can only get the meter to power up - but it stays at 0.0 and the icon in the upper left corner does NOT blink. So, no time is being logged. I bought a second meter - thinking the first one may have been bad. But, I get identical results. I've powered it up with both a 3.5MM cable and have also tested with a 9V battery. For the battery - I just leaned the meter against it - with the + touching the (P) power and the - touching the (N) Neutral. It powers up - but no flashing icon - and no time ticking away.
When wired, I get the same results. The Meter turns on - but doesn't countdown. The 3.5mm cables (I've tried 1 mono and 2 stereo) are a very small gauge. The wires are hard to get stripped. I was thinking the small gauged wires may be a issue - but testing with a battery give the same results. Seems like a really easy project - but could I really have 2 bad meters? I'm reluctant to purchase a 3rd, and may just continue my daily spreadsheet logging of hours... Suggestions?
