Too Noisy Fish - Fast Easy Sick
This is gooood! Piano trio jazz with humor and lots of adventurous moments. Teun Verbruggen, for me, is one of the best drummers in the jazz scene today. I've seen him numerous times, he always surprises me.

Tord Gustavsen - The Ground
This is quite the opposite of the album posted above. Not in the way that it is bad. But this is quiet, non adventurous jazz.

Steve David - Think Ahead
Great new release from trombonist Davis. There’s also a nice review of this album in this month’s Stereophile.

Thelonious Monk - Les Liaisons Dangereuses 1960
Sam Records (2017) I think this was Monk’s only soundtrack (jazz aficionados correct me if I’m wrong), and it’s great stuff.

Scott Hamilton and Stan Getz are my two favorite tenor saxophonists.
Hamilton has a couple of great releases with Harry Allen, including this one... |
