Thanks! My grandpa and I made the rack and stands out of solid walnut. I have a thread on here somewhere that gives some of that story. I'll dig it up later. It is one part of my system that I can GUARANTEE will always be with me.

Yes, Jerome. I have followed your journey for some time now. Your and Dan's experiences played no small roll in buying my first PMCs (eb1i). And that experience left me wondering about the midrange of the ib2i.

Thanks!

I use Nordost titanium sort canes under my LP70s and CT5. Highly recommended but not inexpensive. Then again, its not the sort of thing you would ever retire from your system.

Great system Bikeman71!

I'm a big fan of CJ and I've had the MF SE amp for awhile now and ET3SE for years and love them both. Recently replaced the ET3 with its big brother, the ET5, but not selling the ET3...it's going into another system.

I recently put Stillpoint Ultra SS's under all of my equipment and they really bring out the best of the CJ gear, IMO.

Happy listening!

Hi medwardo,

Can you provide perspective on the ET3SE vs ET5? I'd like to know where the ET5 is different and where it's the same vs ET3SE.

@g_georgi

You can find my brief comparison here: http://www.audioaficionado.org/conra...tml#post754669.

I wrote this in January this year and a few months later, what I said is still true. Even now with well over 500 hours on it, the sound of the ET5 continues to improve.

Very nice setup! A few years ago, I almost switched over to some CJ gear. Loved the sound, very nice gear, also looks very nice.

I wanted to report back on CJ impressions. I am more impressed than ever! The midrange from the PMC ib2i have always been magic, and I was afraid that too much of a good thing could go too far, but CJ doesn't add to the mid...only refines it. Also, The bass is so well controlled.

I just purchased the EAT ECC88 tube for the ET3se pre and can report this CJ responds well to tube rolling. The soundstage becomes wider and deeper...more holographic. I was hoping for more pronounced results with stillpoints...my ultra ss made a bigger difference under previous set ups. It could be that I'm not quite familiar enough with the sound to hear the nuances that come from great isolation yet.

Thanks for following.
