Actually American Black walnut will darken as well. Some european walnuts will lighten. The variable here is whether a top coat sealer has been applied.

I mean the part exposed is darker. As the grilles were always used, the part covered by grilles is lighter. I'd like to even it out, is there a way?

I had this happen to my pair of PMC GB1 i's in Cherry finish. It was not in direct sunlight, just ambient light in the room. It created a "bikini" like effect with the grills on.
Luckily, I noticed this early enough and the grills were removed permanently ......the "bikini" lines slowly disappeared in a few months. |
