Butcher Blocks... I am experimenting with some.

So far I have twelve butcher blocks:
Amplifier has 18" by 19" by 3" Maple on old tall Tip Toes as the base, with a Walnut 16" by 19" by 3" on top, Two blocks separated by four 1/2" ebony 1/8" tall discs.The amplifier sits on the Walnut up on four yellow sandalwood tip toes and under discs to metal underside.
The Furman REF20 is supported by 19" by 18" by 3" Maple block. This block is also on old Tip Toes The power conditioner sits on it;s OEM feet. with the likelihood of experimenting with other wood risers in place of OEM feet.
The PS Audio P600 also has the same setup of butcher block same size on old Tip Toes, but the P-600 has eight size ten butyl rubber one inch tall bottles stoppers holding it up off the block (this unit is in a rather awkward position so it would be really difficult to get it up on any sort of wood tip toe and pad, So sadly it is going to stay with the butyl rubber footers.( Plus I have often kneeled on TOP of it for various plugging and unpluggings... thus the eight footers...)
Power supply for Threshold FET TEN line and FET TEN phono is up on a butcher block also on old Tip Toes on floor.
The Audio Research SP-15, and the SP-15 power supply are currently on IKEA butcher blocks, to be further worked on. (I have to physically move them to get anything taller under them.)
My Conrad Johnson is currently up on a Maple 19" by 16" by 1 3/4 on short old Tip Toes on floor in rack (glass base removed) with currently additional size ten butyl rubber stoppers under OEM feet. (to be worked on)
The Marantz SA-10 is to be moved to where the CJ is now. And the CJ up one shelf to add a 19" by 16" by 1 3/4" Walnut block below it.
Next step up another 17" by 14" by 1 3/4" Maple supports another CD player.
Next up Walnut 17" by 14" by 1 3/4" Walnut block on small sorbothane discs (shelves are glass) Carrying main preamp and above it the power supply.
Another CD changer is on a Walnut 18" by 15" by 1 3/4" block on some home made roller blocks of glass lenses and wooden balls. on a different rack.
The Kuzma TT has a 22" by 19" by 1 3/4" base of Maple with small rubber pads and a few slips of card to level it (the low repurposed TV rack it sits on has settled over the twelve years it has sat unmoved, and I should re-level it sooner or later.... yeah right), topped with a Walnut block 19" by 16" by 3" the Kuzma sits directly on. Currently the two blocks are separated by small sorbothane domes. but I plan in swapping to ebony discs. there too.
I have a few more of the Butcher Block Acoustics blocks on the way, to do a similar block pair under the Rega TT

At this time I am not re-discussing the sound differences. I hope that is not a problem. I am still experimenting with bits.. Like a recently went to the Sandalwood under the amp instead of the OEM feet, and some other things to play with.
The adding of these blocks under the equipment has been a success, and I would say about like upgrading to a better interconnect, and about as much by dollar per dollar, and the cost of the better IC. Some tweaking of the connections, footers, between the blocks and under , on the glass in particular is still in the works.
