Thanks ! It was a toss up between black and rosenut, and I went with black. My N802s are cherry and I would have gone with that if they still had that color

I think you have bought a future classic.
Many happy nights ahead!

Wise choice grasshopper, may be the last speaker you buy.

Tomorrow will be one week with the new B&W 802 d3s + McIntosh MC462. They sounded good the first day and they are sounding better every day.

The wheels started turning and now when everything arrives, I will have a complete new system ! I'm pretty old and if I last another 20 years, hearing aids will be the next big upgrade
Congrats on the new speakers. I very much like the B&W sound.

I'm curious -- given your satisfaction with the Moon pre, did you consider a Moon amp? I don't own any of their products, but I've heard it at a dealer. I think they don't get the exposure they deserve. Great sound IMO.

I my funds were unlimited I would have tried a Moon amp, but I went with a Mac MC462. Mainly because of cost but also because I think Macs are a good balance with B&W 802 series. I'll bet the Moon would have been awesome though.
