The Graham LS5/9 corrects that issue. I felt the lower mids are well defined and very clear on the Grahams. Given the required distance to the front wall, I would also suggest a front ported speaker. The Graham or Harbeth 30.2 would work for that. Devore 0/93 can overload the room if placed to close to the wall. |

It would have to be front-ported or closed design for sure, I've already stuck pillows in the (massive!) bass reflex tubes of the 250Ti's but there is still a hump around 30-60Hz and you also lose out on the midbass.
It sounds pleasant if you're a basshead but otherwise with classical and acoustic music it gets tiring pretty quickly. I'm a bit reluctant for Sonus Fabers or Harbeth/Spendors combined with Accuphase, it might get a bit too soft and overdone in the mids. Now you've mentioned the Sopra 1's.....the Mini Utopia came to mind, makes me wonder how these are. |

Are you sure? Epicon 6's have two bass reflex ports at the back.
Though I've been thinking about speakers with a narrow back like SF Cremona M's for example, wonder how these act when placed close to rear wall. |

Check out the Totem Arro. Small floor-stander designed to be used near the front wall.

Specs say >25cm and I have mine slightly less in fact. No bass problems that I can hear.

I only know the old EA1's (Esotar) and remeber those as being very soft, just at the edge of being called a bit 'veiled'.
