Crystal cable worked well when I had my Accuphase E-600 (especially powercord)

Power cord for the E-600 made quite a difference - good experience with Nordost; Furutech did not work well at all...

Long time ago now, 1988, E-205 Integrated, still have it. Prior to that Yamaha and Marantz pre-power, the 250 I recall.

2010 E-450
2013 C-2420 & P-4200
2014 DP-720 & T-1100. The DP-720 decision was either a vinyl setup or a really great SACD player. The Accuphase won over. It still creams any type of computer digital audio.

The C-2420 has a totally underated headphone amplifier. I've tried the Sony TA-ZH1ES and the SPL Phonitor 2, and the C-2420 creams them both for resolution and sheer enjoyment. Paired with Sennheiser HD800S, HD820, very satisfying combination.

In between 1988 and 2010 quite a few AVR, as part of the HT fad, but could never match Accuphase reliability and the sound. Mainly paired with KEF speakers.
The E-450 now controls the coax output from a Sony X-800 BD and Optical from Mac mini as line out to the C-2420, with DAC-50 and DAC-30 respectively.

Now tinkering with Roon Bridge on the MacMini USB out via Intona to the DAC-50. Early days yet, but the MPD-3 does a better job. The DP-720 does a very good job of digital with the coax input and Roon Core, but to do this justice needs a VERY good USB-S/PDIF device like the Berkeley USB, but looking at Ethernet renderers for distance issues. Shortlisted is the Auralic Aries G1 or G2. The G2 has built in galvanic isolation with a Silanna chip, where the G1 does not. The Silanna is difficult to tame, so better off without it, bitter experience with the ifi Galvanic is enough to put me off.

Ahead for 2019... maybe the CD-38/39? C-3850 for all those XLR inputs.

My one and only Accuphase piece of equipment was my E-202 that I bought back in I believe 1977. I used it for many years as my integrated amp until I started to get into separates. As I recall, I first purchased a separate amp and contiued to use the preamp section until I purchased a preamp. I still own the piece to this day, but have not used it in more than a decade.

If you do decide to power on the E-202, please be aware that the Large Capacitors may have lost their ability to work properly over the years and can be damaged if full voltage is applied.

Ideally, you can slowly increase the voltage with a variac over a day or two to allow the caps to reform and avoiding permanent damage. It would also be wise to inspect the insides for leaks from smaller caps, which could corrode tracks on boards.

Hi One and a Half,

Thank you for the information and suggestion.

Default want to make my accu trip too

Hi there,
I did not even start my Accuphase trip.
However, I got my loudspeakers, this was the starting point:
Focal, Utopia, Scala v2 (got a good deal because the model was replaced)
And now a CD SACD player:
Esoteric K-01x (got a good deal here too, because the model was updated as well)
And now...
... let's start the Accuphase trip.
Any suggestion?
I listened to (on my combination):
Accuphase E-370 (fine)
Accuphase E-470 (better)
Accuphase E-600 (not my cup of tea, but nice)
Accuphase E-650 (similar)
Should I go to separate machines?
2120 + A something
Many thanks for any suggestion
