Default Having built in rack (shelves) for equipment made.

I'm finally ready to clean up my act and have built in racks and record shelves built in my listening room. 1KW has a great looking room and shelves and I wonder if any of you have shelves built in too? I am looking for tips and guidance -must do's, must not does, or things to think about along with reference materials would all be great. Money is a real factor, WAF, audio quality matters and not in that order.

My current thoughts are that it will comprise three sections 21" inches wide each, 8' tall from the floor, up to 24" deep, with brass side mounting tracks to allow adjustable height shelving. I plan for dedicated 20 amp power on independent earth ground. Access to the back through the pantry closet it will built into for cabling and servicing from there. I want to also insure it has a bent system to vent heat out through the attic and currently plan for it to be open front. The would is currently planned for maple. Any help you can offer is appreciated. Olskool (Larry)

Here is the room in general.

Here is the wall the built in will go in. Roughly out to the middle wall.

I go here and upload pics-- once the picture is downloaded, I copy the URL and then paste the link into the AA "mountain" -- placing the cursor over it --"insert image" (right underneath the left arrow).

Also at the URL, I resize if necessary.
