As all of us know, the Salon 2s are a heck of speaker for the price. They are very balanced, have tremendous soundstage, are dynamic and look good! Still recommended by both TAS and Stereophile after over 5+ years of being on their list of recommended components.

I've had mine for 2.5 years. I've enjoyed them for many hours during this time.

Their new Performa series are getting great reviews and are very affordable.

Lastly, I wonder when the new Salon 3s are coming.
Hi Mike,

I've auditioned the Revel F208 and the Aerial 7T in the same room and on the same equipment. I have to say the F208 made a really strong showing and is much less money than the 7T. I feel it is one of the best speakers in the market at its price point.

I also spoke to the folks at Revel earlier this year and they said at this point, they are just looking at ideas for the Salon 3. No prototypes or intros in the near future.

Best,
Ken

I guess I'll have to add my name to the list of revel Owners, I just bought a pair of Mahogany Salon2 to be powered by an also new pair MC1.2KW, now the waiting is the hardest part.

I compared them to the SF Elipsas and I enjoyed the revels a lot more, planning to build a HT around them.

I have had my Revel Ultima Salon 2's for awhile. Don't think they have too many drawbacks except for needing some power. What I love with mine is that they make it easy to hear changes in my system whether I add a new turntable or new wires.

Congratulations! I hope you are as happy with your Salon 2s as I am with mine.

Haydn,

I also love the Salon 2's transparency. You really can hear every component and cable.

Those who auditioned Sudio 2 and Salon 2, how do they differ, with salon 2 obviously having deeper/better bass? What else is different? Do stock jumpers good enough, or aftermarket jumpers make a huge difference for Salon 2 or Studio 2?
Thank you

Both are wonderful speakers at their price points. The Salon requires more power but it is also more capable with lower frequencies. Make your choice based on the room size and equipment your are planning to use.
