At $700 per device that is a nice $5600 for the two speakers. Wow

Don't waste your $$

They don't improve a thing under the speakers

BTW do you know Stillpoint recommends to unscrew them a quarter turn so that they do not touch the bottom of the speaker?

I received the Stillpoints Ultra SS's. Before trying on the Maxx3's it makes sense to try them with my amps.

I have had the Stillpoint Ultra's under the cj GAT and the prem350 for a few days now.

The reviews seem to be accurate about the positive effects these have on the musical delivery. No sonic downside in my system.

On the weekend I'll try then under the tube mono's and see how it sounds before putting them on my speakers.

If they work under speakers, I will be ordering some more sets for my components, if not they are that good they will permanently be under my components.

highly recommended.

cheers

And unless you want to cause even more severe damage to your bank account, do not audition the Ultra 5's.

I am never planning to try the Ultra 5's

What do you have them under and how have you found them?

I have Ultra 5's under the amps, SACD transport and DAC and Ultra SS' under the preamp's audio section and power supply. I also have Ultra LPI's on top of the amps, transport and DAC (I run the preamp without top covers).

The Ultra SS' seem to VERY slightly shift the tonal balance toward the highs. The Ultra 5's produce no shift in tonal balance I can detect and bring all the positive effects of the Ultra SS to the extreme.

When I started borrowing a few Stillpoints to try in my system I had never imagined even in my wildest dreams that I would have wanted to spend so much money on them.
