Great review. I only wish you had written more about the Macs in the context of Pass and Classe !

Congrats Mike!
Very good review, and a nice one to read too.
That's quite a room full of gear you have there!

I think you should do this all over again when your Ref 10 gets there . Just to be thorough. Haha.

Nice read Mike.

A very thorough review of the two SS contenders in your magnificent rig Mike and I echo Adams' comment. Dans' write up is superb, but as I read the faceoff, and never listened to these specific SS varities, I'm missing the thorough comparison between the tube turtles & the Pass/Classe.

I wish you were able to report on the specific temperature of the Pass with say a infra-red. Heat is a concern for many.

Don't get me wrong here -- you did an outstanding job on the Pass/Classe review & applaud you for taking the time from your hectic weekend schedule to do so. Compiling, writing & word-smithing a review as you did requires absolute dedication, note taking, thoroughness, not to mention time, etc., and you are to be for it.

Your review will be a reference for AA'ers in the forseeable future.

Thank-you sir & Happy Holidays Folks,

Bob

Nice review, sounds like fun experiment as well.......what did you use to volume match when you were switching amplifiers? I've tried comparing components in the past and was curious what others use to make sure the volume is equal. Thanks!

Bob - as you and others have requested, I have added my notes from my listening session with the 2301's to the review.
