The top of the plinth looks to have the same type of floating glass plate as on the front of RS100 wireless speaker. The MT2 looks very nice to me; I'd go for it even though you could probably get equal quality for less $. With the Mc TT's you're not only getting excellent quality sound but you're also buying art, with proven reliability and resale value.
As with all art however, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Lossless > D100 / Yami YP 450 tt > MA7000 > KEF RDM3 / SVS SB2000 / Too much music, not enough time.

I may seriously be looking into a MT2. I'm sure it will be a upgrade from my ProJect Rpm 5 with custom acrylic plater.

It definitely appears black glass to me with illuminated green stenciling - McIntosh MT2 Precision Turntable on the right side and the speed knob with green illumination indicating OFF 33 and 45.

Best Sir,

Bob

Definitely got this on my radar. Why is there only one picture of it on the net?

Spoke to my dealer yesterday about it. Mc has communicated nothing to their dealers about the new table. Said out of all his lines, Mc does the worst job sharing info on new product development. My dealer typically finds out about new Mc products the same way we do...forums and internet.
Charlie gets an F+ for his Marketing Communication skills... JMHO.

Go to the Bryston forum. James and Bryston do an incredible job rolling out new products, capturing customer feedback, etc. James might not be 100% accurate on the launch dates every time, but atleast he in engaged in the market place. It seems like we usually know about Bryston new product 3 to 6 months prior to launching.
