Looking forward to your impressions. Honestly can't imagine how good the N10 sounds because the N100H blew me away

Over USB there is no night/day difference between N100H and N10, the connected DAC (+USB cable) are more important for the sound.
Over SPDIF I can imagine the N10 can have advantages.

Hi John, I have not done such a comparison. My X100 is in storage ..... maybe one day I will compare. It's been a year since listened to the X100. Completely new system, new room so memory comparisons not applicable.

How do you get your CD's into the N100H ?

David.......You will need ripping software that converts the PCM stream on a CD to FLAC or AIFF. I use dBpoweramp on my desktop PC. There is also dBpoweramp for Mac computers, too. Once you have ripped your CD's to FLAC or AIFF and have them stored on your hard drive you will access the hard drive in your Aurender N100H on your computer then drag and drop the files to the Aurender hard drive.

David I think "E" would be the most qualified to answer what ripping software to use. ( or Ivan) |

David,
On Windows PCs, EAC or dBPowerAmp are the two that E turned me on to. How many CDs do you need to do?

nfreemer.......Emile recommends ExactAudioCopy (EAC). It is freeware software so his customers don't have to purchase ripping software. There have been many comparisons performed between EAC and dBpoweramp (purchased software) that a Google search will provide. Both perform bit perfect CD rips. I tried both and prefer dBpoweramp for its ease of use and intuitive user interface. Others may prefer EAC. I have no financial interest in either one, just my personal preference. With nearly 1500 CD's ripped and loaded on my Aurender N10 hard drive I can testify that dBpoweramp does a fantastic job. My files sound amazing.
