Default The Tannoys are here!
Finally!!

The Luxman won't be here today because it's being shipped via FedEx Home delivery and they don't deliver on Mondays. On top of that, the tracking site does not say where it is in the US at this time. Last update was 6 days ago - leaving Chicago.

Anyhoo. The Tannoys have a HUGE pair of shoes to fill. Given how wonderful the Guarneris sounded with the Shindo. Stay tuned. Lot's to do and report on in the next couple of days.

Alberto...that's great, congrats!!

That's right, you had mentioned previously that FedEx didn't do home delivery on Mondays. (I was unaware of that). I assume then that another carrier
delivered the Tannoys.

I learned that FedEx Home does not deliver on Monday, but FedEx Ground does. The amp is coming FedEx home. Man, it's complicated.

The idea behind the change was to take care of businesses Monday—Friday; Home delivery works Tuesday—Saturday. In your case, it increases the suspense for you and all who follow this thread. I always ask vendors who use FedEx for Home Delivery (if I can get it), hoping I can reschedule delivery to Saturday if I miss them and no one else in the building is around (it's an 8-unit apartment building). Often drivers will ring other bells here at the building and someone else will sign for any packages.
