Wish I could compare with the "big brother" -the Directstream. If this thing is 85% of its beauty then OMG I need to try one.
Seems to make a good match with the rest of my equipment too -really opening the sound and expanding on the top, and on the bottom while the McIntosh tends to focus more in the mid range. All very natural and fluid, very little harshness if any!
