MintakaX, excuse my ignorance, but when you are connecting the LF Positive and HF Negative are you using the jumpers? Or are you connecting directly from Amp without jumpers. Eg. Speaker cable directly into HF Negative and then other speaker cable directly into LF Positve without jumpers?

Of course you need the jumpers.

Or use a BiWiring-Cable. Or two SingleWire-Cables.

Reason I was asking is I have 2 pairs of speaker outputs from my other Amplifier (Not MC462) so could send direct without the jumpers.

Question for the McInstosh amp users. Are your 802s connected to the 8 or 4 ohm taps?

Have my 601s connected to the 8 ohm taps. Liked the midrange better and gave up just a bit on bass tightness
