Default Anyone Using Kondo Cables?

Hi there,

Is anyone using Kondo cables? Are they worth the price?

Thank you.

I never heard of them before, but that doesn't mean anything.

Did you try them, or decide against it?

They look nice. I belive Positive-Feedback and 6moons did a review on them. They make interconnects, speaker cables and power cords. They look very flexible and easy to use. Doesn't Audio Note make them?

Yes, Audio Note Japan. Handmade on a full moon night, from aged silver etc. etc. and expensive but allegedly the ne plus ultra. I was just curious what you think of them.

Record108,

I've not heard them. I'm familiar with Audio Note but not their cables. You might want to check the Cable Company for their avalability over here or Google for distributers. If you're looking for silver cables check out Kimber Kable. I use the Kimber Select silver throughout my system and really enjoy them. If there's anyway try to get a loaner pair before purchasing to listen with your system. That way you'll know if you like them or not. Lots of good cables out there trying to find what you like is the hard part. Just be careful and don't get caught in the cable-merry-go-round.

Thanks, Dave! With the Kondos being so rare, I might try the Kimbers. It is true - always test cables in your own system before you buy them. I have made mistakes, too, e. g. with these Siltech ics that just didn´t do it for me.

Thomas,

Since you've got Kimber speaker cables, I would try the Kimber interconnects. I think you'll be impressed.

Dave,

I´ve had Kimber Heros, both RCA and XLR. The RCAs were OK but not too spectacular, the XLRs I found terribly sounding (sorry!). Do you recommend the Select?

Thanks!

Thomas
