It looks like it's trying too hard. The regular grill would give it a classier and simpler look in my opinion.
Though most of us would likely listen with the grill removed anyway...

I had the opportunity to listen to them 2 days ago.

Sounded fantastic.

Exceptional bass, clear, solid air, excellent separation.

Room was treated, running on AR equipment.

Raidho,

I agree, the room and the AR equipment was key to the presentation.

I will say being a 800D B&W owner for 7 years now, the 800 line has clarity not only from the front of the speaker but also from the sides and the rear of the speaker.

The tweeter on top, curvature of the enclosure, and possibly the use of padded leather where the marlan head sits, aids in the overall presentation.

This 805 Maserati has the leather on top by the tweeter.
