Hello,

a question over XA100.8: the trafo make "noise"? your Pass have a little "brumm noise" from the trafo?

I listen in the last time a little more "brumm" from the trafo....not in the speakers but the ampli self...

You no?

thank you for reply

It sounds like you have DC on the electrical lines, causing transformer noise / hum. If that is indeed the case, then you need something like a Burmester 948 conditioner, or Isotek Syncro EvO3 power cords to synchronise the wave. I had the same problem and the Isotek PC fixed the problem.

The ISOTEK Syncro EVO3 is the only Isotek product that removes hum from transformers due to and if there is DC on the line. The titan and others do not have that circuit.

I am not generally an Emotiva fan, as most of their products are clearly built to meet a price point rather than for the best performance. However they have a model CMX-2 AC Line Restorer which I've heard favorable reports on which removes DC offset from your AC power and sells for only $99. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee so it might be worth a try.

The hum in my Burmester 911 was so loud that it sounded like a fridge

The Isotek Syncro EVO3 fixed it because it is specially designed to remove DC that causes transformer hum. My amp is now dead silent!

Read the review below on the cable to get an idea what it is doing.
