I see that PrimaLuna also has the EVO 400 series integrated amp, preamp, and power amp in their line. Makes me wonder if there is a PrimaLuna EVO 400 DAC in the wings.

I wish Dan would do a review of the new PL EVO 400 amp and PL tube DAC.

They had the whole rig set up at axpona. Evo amps/ pre/ dac. Hooked to I believe to the goldenear triton refs. The sound was really gorgeous. I’m not sure what brought what to the table ..but listened to Dean Martin sound really nice. It was in the Upscale Audio room.

Hi everybody, I received the PrimaLuna EVO 100 DAC last night and got it up and running. It is a very nice DAC and exactly what I want in one. Tubes everywhere that look gorgeous and sound even better. Far and away much better than the tube DAC it replaced.

It's simple to operate and very easy to listen to. It complements the other gear around it and really brings the Cantons to life. A highly recommended listen/demo if you have a dealer nearby.

In talking to Primaluna on the phone, I asked Dan's question of "Is there an EVO 400 DAC in the future?". The answer was "no", the rep said, "This is our DAC and I'm not sure why we selected the EVO 100 as its name".

I think PrimaLuna has a real winner with this DAC. All the reviews thus far have been very favorable.

Any chance we can get an update? How's the DAC sounding? Thanks!
