Jérôme.......Narcisa would not be the first wife of a friend that is unhappy with the influence my association has had on their husband.

You are a lucky man to have such a wonderful wife and family. All is well.

As long as I'm happy, she's ok too. Well, as long as I don't buy an Ongaku and an Aston Martin !
Congrats Jerome - sure they will bring you much happy listening... maybe you could hide the new cables behind an Onkagu.

Graham

Thanks Graham !
What I won't be able to hide is the big hole in the bank account that an Ongaku would make !

There are many speaker cables that do a better job than Kimber 8TC, but few if any are better for the money spent IMO

Brad.......I agree with your statement completely. It was difficult to write the Silver Eclipse/Kimber 8TC review without creating a false impression of the 8TC by comparison. The Kimber 8TC is a fine speaker cable that I have enjoyed for years. At $22.00 a foot it represents an exceptional value.

I have been on this thread enough to be influenced into wondering which of the Wireworld cables would be comparable to 8TC. The Silver Eclipse seems well above it, and obviously gauge has little to do with things (Silver Eclipse is 10 AWG versus 9 AWG for 8TC; then again, the SE has silver-clad OCC copper). Perhaps the regular Eclipse, or the Oasis? Just curious (for now).

I think the gap is too big to be "comparable" by performance. That said, Kimber 8TC may well be the value champion.

I believe the Kimber 8TC has been in Kimbers lineup for almost 15 or more years now?
