Default Bryston 28B SST2

Since Jeff (A/V Solutions) is putting a pair of these 1000 watt monoblock beauties into his system, I thought I'd put the Bryston 28B SST2 up for a look. Winner of TAS 2009 Golden Ear Award.

It's one hell of an amp. The industrial look just screams "put me in a very sturdy, concealed, shiny new rack" - which I happen to very much agree with. A server-farm without the servers, just 1KW amps!

Jeff.......WOW. Those babies are beautiful. I didn't realize they would be driving PMC EB1i's. You are in for a real treat. I am looking forward to your complete review of the total system once installed and broken in. Congratulation on a fantastic sound system.

The dianostic sheet bryston provides is a nice touch....My 28s were bench tested before leaving the factory at 1280 watts per channel

I know Bryston makes a nice amp. Serge has Bryston amps in his home theater and they sound terrific. Enjoy them and I hope you don't miss your blue meters

Jeff.......Yep, and they probably did a minimum of 100 hours on the burn-in table, too.

I personally think that 1000 watts is about right for the EB1i's....

I might still have mine if I had had that kind of power!!!

For me ... the 501's just couldn't make those speakers sing....

Wow that is really hard to believe. My Elipsa's are about as loud as my ears can stand at 50 -100 watt peaks.
