I would not put my money on that bet.

Focus -- with more mainstream design cues -- is not getting axed. It's probably a much better seller than Contour, which has design cues that do not appeal to many. Since the second generation of Focus my dealer has deemphasized Contour. I have their demo S3.4s and they aren't showing anything else. They have Excite, Xeo, Focus, Confidence, and the Evidence Platinum.

I have to agree with Dean. Almost bought the 1.4's that were for sale here for a great price, but didn't because Mel couldn't get past how much she liked the looks of the 140's. There were other reasons, of course, but after she took a look at the better pics on the website, she said why not go for either the 160's or 360's. For her, the sound is so much better than she's ever had that she doesn't quite get the need to part with what is visually acceptable. I need a better class of integrated before speakers anyway. The new Focus line certainly hits a sweet spot of looks and affordability.
