My confidence center came in yesterday, and I snapped some pics with my iphone.

Only watched one movie, but so far I really like it. I'll be giving it a good workout this weekend however.

VERY NICE! I found everything much improved once I placed my CC II as well. What are you driving it with? I realize I need better power - still sorting through my options. Enjoy .

Thanks! I'm using a Rotel RMB 1075 for the time being. Haven't decided what I want to use for amplification yet as I just sold off my Octave to fund the center.

I am unable to post a new thread, so just going to ask in this thread as I noticed some boardmembers in this thread that have the Dynaudio Confidence Center I/II.

I was wondering, anyone upgrade from Confidence Center I to the new signature/II series?

I can get a decent deal on a 5 year old confidence center, but I'm unsure wether I should save a bit more and go for the newer version/signature.

I have been offered a pretty good deal I think, on the new Signature version in Mocca, however it will still be around 2.4 times more expensive than the used one.

Bottom line is, I guess, stretch my budget and go for the newest version or "settle" for old one and dont look back.

Any input on old vs new appreciated, I've only listened to non version II signature confidence models, ie. C2/4 etc.

Some components are not visible from the pics. To sum up:

Esoteric K-01 (Antelope Trinity clock) -> McIntosh C2300 preamp -> McIntosh MC602 power amp -> Dynaudio C4.

My Dynaudio Contour 1 powered by Creek Destiny 2. The not so nice arrangement in the room is provisory as I just got the system together. These speakers seem to be extremely demanding, they swallow a lot of power. These are the original Contours, I mean the first in the Contour series, somewhat hard to find. They also have an anomaly: the label on the back has some specs wrong, especially the dimensions, as you can see in the picture. The official site also has the specs wrong for them. I noticed Dynaudio about it and also asked them if they have any literature on these speakers and got back a nice answer from them, they acknowledged the wrong specs, provided me with the correct ones and promised to change them on their site too but unfortunately they don't have any literature on Contour 1. According to them, Dynaudio didn't do much marketing for these Contours at the time as they thought that it means nothing and the sound of the speakers speaks for itself. They also said that they were some of the most expensive bookshelfs on the market at the time.
