Is your REL the R-218?
Thanks brother! Yes, it's the r-218. I picked it over the bigger models because I liked that its sealed and the woofer is down firing giving it a sleek look. Plus the new R series is a dead on match for my c1s and stands. It looks like the matching sub for my speakers. The r-218 is also small enough to be less conspicuous in the room. And man does it sound great. I've tried various other subs in the past and gave up on ever finding a sub that I could live with. I was wrong though. Apparently not all subs are created equal.

I know what you mean. I just upgraded my Serie T-7 to a R-328. That one does have a front firing driver, with a down firing passive cone.

I really like the look of the R-218 with no front firing driver. It's a very clean look, with no grill of bare driver. However, I got a deal I was happy with on a trade-in of my T-7 for the dealers demo R-328 so I took that. I'm really happy with it, and it seems the right choice for my room and S3.4s.

I've no doubt the 328 is superb. Congrats!
