All the newer Mac Amps are getting Thermal Trak output transistors. These were first seen in the MC2KW’s.

It appears that some of the difference between the MC452 and the MC462 are cosmetic. I see new transformer cans and covers, new heat fin castings that incorporate the Mc logo, and of course the new model number silk screened and illuminated on the front glass.





On a side note, it would be much easier to view uploaded photographs if members would make an effort to resize photos to a pixel width that allows the entire photo to be viewed on screen without the need to scroll left and right or up and down. I resized the photo above to 1250 pixels wide. Please consider the size of your photos when posting and adjust pixel width before uploading.
