I've had my N100H (4TB) now for a little over a week. I have it connected to the PS Audio DS DAC via Wireworld Silver Starlight 7 USB (Thanks Ivan!). The only erratic behavior I have noticed is in Conductor if I "add all" to the queue sometimes it doesn't accept all the songs. If I repeat the process several times it usually then adds all the songs to the queue. I have about 1/3rd of my CDs ripped so far, so have a ways to go before fully transferring my library. And the Aurender's now come with a coupon for a free 60 day trial of Tidal. Have yet to exercise that as I am still learning the app and all the little tricks buried inside. I did try the internet radio feature and it worked fine. Sound quality from a classical station in NYC was quite good. Aurender is connected via ethernet to a NetGear wireless extender, and of course an iPad mini 4 hosting the Conductor app.

Now I need to read up on the other thread about ripping SACD's so I can load the half dozen or so of them that I own into the Aurender.

I imagine the "add all" issue you mention is because of the Netgear wireless extender. It would be interesting if you could run an Ethernet cable directly to your main router/modem and see if the problem goes away.

A few weeks with the Aurender N100H
, my listening sessions now have been nearly all digital and lasting hours and hours without any listener fatigue. The D1100 is breaking in as are the new cables. I highly recommend the N100H !

David.......This is great to hear. It took you quite a long time to reach for a new level of performance and I am pleased to hear you are happy. Aurender makes remarkable music servers that all use the well thought out and mature Conductor App. I don't see how a person can go wrong with Aurender.

I would imagine that your using the optical drive much less after you rip the music to the Aurender ? I observed your experience with the MS750 and Olive, but your N10 review pretty much convinced me to check out the brand.

David.......I have been spinning SACD's in the K-01X transport. In a word....Impressive. My Aurender N10 does get the lion's share of play time.

Unfortunately not possible. The main router and extender are on two different floors. It doesn't seem to be much of an issue. Overall I am extremely happy with the Aurender and love the app. Hitting play random is kind of like initiating my own free form radio station! Never know what you'll hear, and that's a cool thing.

Dan, I have to agree with your comments on the Conductor app. I had toyed with the idea of building a server for a number of years but didn't want the complications of having to constantly screw around with a computer, whether it would be Windows or Mac. Had looked at things like the Sooloos and Olive products but they just didn't do it for me. When I had a chance to play with the Aurender I found it to be both intuitive and powerful. The combination of the purpose-built Linux machine and optimized USB output with the flexibility of Conductor made all the other complications go away and left just the music and the ability to play it however I please. And it couldn't have been simpler to hook up and start playing music through my DAC. Literally plug and play.

Found this thread elsewhere on the next evolution of the N100. Still not clear about how the new output would improve things for me - or would it? Plan is to run into a K-03. Grateful for any thoughts.

for anyone interested I made a post on how to upgrade a n100 hard drive. I assume this would also work for the storage less model but not sure if that one comes with the mounting bracket and cable. It is under the n100h hard drive upgrade posting.

peace,
Noushy
