Enjoy the 911 MK3. That's great to hear that Burmester transfers the warranty. I don't think most companies do that. A another plus for the Germans.

I think they (PMC EB1i's) need an amp with a high damping factor to control them and control is Burmester's middle name
Was this ever the case! My top 3 most noticeable improvements over the MC402:

1. The soundstage is just huge- deep, tall and wide. It's extended a considerable distance outside the speakers, first time I have ever experienced this. The imaging is with pinpoint clarity.

2. The level of detail is incredible, yet sounds natural and void of any sort of overshot transients, harshness or digital nasties. Not fatiguing in the slightest. The high's extend upwards way past the limits of my hearing.

3. To me the most enjoyable improvement of all; the bass!! and the absolute death-grip control that the 911 has on the EB1i's bass driver . I thought I had good bass with the 400W MC... this is another level of control. First, the bass is more prominent; with the MC I applied a slight EQ boost at 200Hz and below to get the type of bass I was looking for, with the 911 this is not needed and the bass has the same 'weight' without the EQ. Second is the level of detail and speed, I have never realized quite how much detailed musical content there is in the lower octaves. The way the 911/EB1 combo pressurizes the room is absolutely phenomenal... effortless and with absolute clarity.

I continue to remain amazed by this amp every time I sit down for a listen!

I am glad you are enjoying the amp. It really is amazing what it can do. You have summed up very well my experience and friends experiences I've turned on to Burmester. I am sure the Medea is just as amazing.

I have the Weiss 202 DAC driving two monoblocked 911s. I am very happy with the combo and this is after 7 other amp combos.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. What's your first name and where are you from? What speakers are you using? There is another member who uses the Weiss Medea+ direct to his 911mk3 stereo and loves the combo.

Welcome!

What other amps did you try and what did you like more about the 911?

I run a medea into a stereo 911 and too love the combo
